Is anyone here from Nigeria? It looks like Accra is the processing centre. I applied for my parents since 2017 . The last update was on June 25, 2019- indicating that the background check had commenced. Not sure what is going on as it's been over 2 years now

I just called to ircc and she said that they email us for additional documents last August 22nd but i dont received any to my ecas nor to gckey?
Any here had same experience? Thanks

My Timeline:

Received Application- July 25, 2017
Started Processing- December 6, 2017
Requested for additional information- December 6, 2017
Decision made re Eligibility- March 2, 2019
Started Processing - May 30, 2019
Received Pre arrival Services- May 31, 2019
Medical and PCC request- June 1, 2019
Medical passed- June 21, 2019
Background check - may have commenced in June as well, not sure of the exact date

Status showing Decision Made since July last week and no Passport request or any email yet.

What should I do? should i keep waiting or Call / request for cips notes etc.

Thanks, however the web form reads use this form if "Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times."

And my parents Application received on May 2019.

Is this an unusual delay between the decision made and waiting for PPR?

Hi @YULIA-2016 i got 2 emails this morning yo redo medical and also to submission police clearance. The Ghana embassy also requested that my mom should submit her passport to any VFS Global within 15 days.

Am from Nigeria and we just got emails this morning after one year of silence

@YULIA-2016 . Pls my mom is here with me in Calgary and the only VFS Global office that is close to me is Toronto. Does she needs to go there in person and is it one day processing because she was given 15days to submit her passport. She also needs the passport as her identification for medical sheer in Calgary. We didn’t get an early time for medical. We got sept 23 as earliest.

Actually this happens more than you would think. Happened to me during my spousal sponsorship process, we called them and they gave us an extension for that. They did acknowledge the error and looks like its something to do with system update on CIC.

I am hoping they gave you the extension as well.

I have sponsored my parents during second round in September 2018 and waiting for final decision:

• Medical Completed on May 2019
• PCC sent on July 2019
• Military of history of my father was asked and sent on July, 2019

I got a very lucrative job offer outside of Canada.
If I move out at this stage of the application, will this affect my parents application?

I guess after "Decision made" they take another month for Pre-arrival letter and then PPR. Is that correct?
How long does it take for entire cycle?
