Hi, how do we find out if the eCas has been activated or not? Will an email be sent to us? Please advise, thanks a lot.

You don't get an email for that. You can check everyday by yourself or you can wait for AOR and then check.

I did submit my parents application in June 2019. CIC received application on June 07 2019. I haven't received anything yet from CIC. no acknowledgement yet. Can anybody guide how long it take to get the acknowledgement?

That means the whole procedure for you from sending the application and having the decision made is 4 months? Is it about the same for everyone? Actually I’m new to this sponsorship process and timelines but will be applying for my parents next year.

Did you get the Biometrics section in myCIC updated as well or it’s still “we need your fingerprints”? We completed bio last week, got the new bio updated in myCIC but it still says “your action is required”. Not sure if its normal or we need to contact cic...

It seems they are still working on last week of may. You may need to wait two more weeks.
I submitted my application on May 31st. I haven't received my AOR yet. But today, I was able to access ECAS and link my application online.

I see. I am not sure about my parents' UCI.. since they only had visitor visa before. I will keep on trying and waiting for the AOR then. Thank you.

Please stop yelling. CIC has always indicated that processing times are 12-24 months. They are processing some faster but no guarantees. They are still processing apps from previous years.

I went today and they gave passport back right away !!! Took passport photocopies along with other documents

i had to mail mine to Vancouver so thats why passports were requested along.

Hi All, my on eCAS under Sponsorship Application Status its showing "Decision Made" and PR Application Status its showing "In Process". I got an email for sending Biometrics and Medicals.

What does this means and should I apply for Police Certificate as well? Also after Case approval, how much time will CIC give to parents to arrive in Canada?
