no, i just got an ecas update today. waiting anxiously for the mail though

just had a conversation with one of the agents and she told me that my file was opened a week ago and they were doing the completeness check for it. so i was kind of anticipating the ecas this week

Oh ok. That's great. So I guess once Ecas shows application received, this means the file is complete?

Seems like they didn't activate any ecas on last Thursday, Friday and yesterday. It's good that they start working on it again today.

from what i have learned the ecas is just an indication that your file was opened. the AOR is after they have gone through it

No acknowledgement and no update on MyCIC until one day before applicant status changed to DM says we are reviewing the additional documents you sent (similar wording).

I received a document request via email and asked to send back via email as well; alternatively, mail in the originals.

They are getting calls. PGP is only a small fraction of applications they handle and beside the Sept school is starting. Thousands of international students are coming in recent days and they are also busy with some of those as well.

I'm also May 24. Did you get an AOR email? I haven't gotten one yet so just checking.

My application was received on May 23. ECAS shows application received since August 22 (that's when I checked for the first time). No AoR yet. I was expecting last week. Now anxiously waiting for.

What number you contacted at?

Do we have to Inform CIC, if the primary applicant travel back to their home country (India) from Canada or if they are visiting a foreign country (USA) etc ?

If you are putting all correct information and still can not link, then call IRCC. People have found that sometimes, IRCC records had some spelling or date mistakes and hence not able to link.
I am assuming you already have a myCIC account but you are not able to link to application in-spite of using correct information for your parent and total number of members in the application.
