This is not a correct statement. I have been able to see ECAS since June 24 but I have never got an AOR letter nor have I been able to link.

Hi,
My application was received on 21st May. I haven't received AOR yet, I know that those around 21st May have received theirs. Mine might take a while, given that I received a request for additional doc - which I have already submitted. Does the request for additional documents imply that the sponsorship has been approved? Any thoughts?

You had to submit additional docs so your "complete" application submission date is the date you sent them additional doc/s (it's stated in the letter I received, anyway). It does NOT imply sponsorship approval.

There is a separate column asking for sponsor's documents as well. In address proof column it says:

PROOF OF ADDRESS:


Driver’s License or Ontario Government issued photo ID card or Utility Bill (must be less than 6 months old).

Please note: Proof of address must match the same as ‘Address to be printed on the passport’.

 For applicants on Study permit or Visitor Record, please enter the Indian address under ‘Address to be printed’ and current Canadian address under ‘Other addresses on the online form. (If the address is the same as the Indian address mentioned in your recent Indian passport, Indian address proof is not required, but you are required to provide proof of your current Canadian address).

Tried calling BLS many times but no luck, so hoping someone here can help.

Thanks for responding. I went through their website, have all documentation ready. They need address proof of Canada for parents. My mum does not have a bank account or driver's license from Canada. Any idea what documentation can be given for that?

I know that address proof is also required for the PCC and they accept the following as their proof of address in canada

BLS accept the proof of address of children in reference to proof of parents address

yes I am May 2 and my app is still "in process" since july 12th

I got a temp file number. The agent said My file is in queue. How long does it take before it generates a file number? He also said its just a matter of removing x from temp number

You missed the word "many"...I didn't say "all". There were a discussion some pages back..if anyone in Canada and have a valid bio..if the get the request again..they should challenge it...we already saw ATIP notes from one uer where VO noted "parents current address is in Canada. No bio required"

Agree but why the extra time for challange they already know that they have the bio from previous supervisa application. Anyways Good Luck fornall of us.
