Hi buddy, you merely have to update CIC with your travel plan post you have visited and come back by sharing the scanned copy of the passport pages which have been stamped. No need for PCC if the stay is shorter then 6months in a new country ..
Is this correct information?
I am in Canada and travel in and out of the country at least twice very month. Am I supposed to update CIC on each of my travel plan (before or after the travel)?
On some of the other threads I remember reading that it is not required.
Hello lovely people... how are u all !

Hello All!
Long time lurker, first time poster here
Bit about me,
AOR: Jan 17th
Biometrics: 14th Mar
So something that i noticed just after our [my spouse's & mine] biometrics is that, biometric details were only updated in profile against my spouses's[dependent] name and it was not updated against mine [primary applicant]. So i went ahead, dug up all the slips that i received from VFS, and to my horror i found out that the VFS agent who captured my biometric gave my application number as #NA and correct file number to my spouse's biometrics. We raised a CSE and provided scanned copies of all the receipts received from VFS as proof, and an IRCC agent confirmed that this was all they required for the time being.
We haven't yet received our PPR, and Mr. Goodale's mail from 9th Aug says that i'm "In progress" for Criminality and security has not bee initiated for both of us. Eligibility is met.
Did any of you have a similar experience with VFS? If so, did that pose any complication to your visa processing? We are trying to ruleout any possibility of biometrics issue delaying our application.
My generic reply was it’s in queue for review........I have made my mind to call next week . Gcms notes ordered on 17 July and they won’t be coming this August... feeling sad and hopeless sometimes I feel why I gave up my PCS exam and went on this path of uncertainty.. tunnel of hope is very long and dark .. little light or hope is turned off my delays and delays ..

I also had the same response that it's in queue for review .how do you know that you won't get GCMS notes this month ? I also applied on 15th July and hoping to get them this week.

Hmm...quite frustrating isn't it...
I haven't ordered gcms recently and I will soon order them again.
At least we can be happy that our files are finally moving. Let's keep our hopes high
Do you have any reason why your biometrics would not be accepted? I'm AOR Feb 6 and Eligibility and Security is passed. Criminality is in progress because my fingerprints are poor, due to a skin condition.
AoR 2Feb19
MEP March15
Biometric completed 27March
Called IRCC and asked again about status. Status is same from last 15days
Criminality passed, security not initiated & eligibility under review.
I asked agent to add a note for file processing officer that 6months have passed, agent replied it will be disrespectful if she do that.
193 days and counting....

You are right, once the application is submitted, it’s not necessary at all to update cic. But it’s okay if you did. I never updated my holiday either .. they are interested in longer term stays
