Hi everyone. I would like to ask when do we probably be expecting our PPR? My Common-Law partner has completed and passed her re-medical last July 31. Here's my current timeline below:

AOR: October 6, 2018
Medical Completed (Spouse/CLP): August 13, 2018
Medical Completed (Principal): November 25, 2018
MEP: November 26, 2018
IP1: November 26, 2018
Request for Re-medical (Spouse/CLP): July 18, 2019
IP2: July 18, 2019
Re-medical Completed: July 23, 2019
MEP (Updated): July 31, 2019

After that, no updates as of now. Hope to have some insights on our case.

Dear Sumit - I spoke to IRCC regarding your application at CPC-Ottawa.



I have good news – the application was approved yesterday – Aug 6, 2019.

You will receive notification and instructions in the coming weeks.

COPR is valid until Dec 31/19.

Just got an update saying that the photos I've sent doesn't meet the requirements. However, I wonder how they met the requirements when the passport was stamped with visa.

Same in my case also..
Everything is passed as per the agent still they are saying that they are working on my file..
I don't understand what's left now and how long will they take to approve my file..

Thank you!!! My Aor is october 29, 2018. My medicals were expired in June 2018. But they updated my profile as passed on august 6 2019 when they approved my file. Still waiting for the email.. I think they will create a batch for it

Is background verification different from Security and Criminality?

Called IRCC today and agent provided following info:

application last accessed : Nov, 2018
Background verification is in progress since Nov, 2018

and agent said application might take year or year and half.

I asked about withdrawing the application and agent said request won't be approve as application is in review required.

previous updates were:
Eligibility: RR
Security: not started
Criminality: Passed
Medical: valid till Oct 10,2019

I am in similar situation as you.Background verification is Eligibility meaning they check if your job duties matches the NOC, they check ur degree etc.Criminality is the police verification certificate and Security is security check by Canadian agencies.

Did the agent say 1 to 1.5 yrs?! damn!
