Ok guys, so I'm in Canada, it's been a couple of years. Indian National , applied as FSW from Dubai. Have strong connections in Ottawa VO. (I'm sure Saurabh is reading this and knows who I am)
Their VO has inducted new COs lately. Handovers have been done and new guys have taken over the open cases. However, even though the cases were halfway thru by the previous CO, when the new CO gets a file, he's responsible for finally approving it. Hence he needs to check the previous half of the files again. Don't worry, he just verifies the supporting documents (that the previous CO attached to your file before approving a particular stage) and does not start the investigation all over again. If you look at year on year increase in the number of invitations, you will realize it's over 5%, but they had not added more COs.
If there isn't a negative communication on your application, there's nothing to worry about.
Patience, breathing, yoga, meditation is needed
Once you're here, life's tough. No maids, no-one to wash your car, no-one to cook and clean. And whenever you see airplanes, you think of your home country, your parents, siblings, friends. So enjoy all that while you can. Finding a job is tough. You might have to start from scratch so be prepared. Eventually its all super good. You love this country and you love how safe and secure you are. Education, health, old age, etc is taken care of. Better air quality, better standard of living etc. But as I said earlier, enjoy your home right now, company of your parents etc. Food, go for massages, get dental check ups, before you get your PPR.
All the best! I talk too much sometimes
