Hi All,

My wife's Visa was just granted, I will outline my timeline below.
This was truly one of the most difficult times of my life, being away from someone you love and have grown to love more and more was a test for us both. I pray that others get their visa soon, and are reunited with their partners.

• March 14, 2018 - Package Received by Mississauga office
• April 26, 2018 - AOR - Letter of undertaking sponsorship
• May 4, 2018 - Medical Passed
• July 6, 2018 - AOR 2 - File moved to London Office
• (contacted old MP through out these dates stating around Dec 2018 and got no results)

Waiting ~11 months with no answer

• June 12, 2019 (contacted new MP who was extremely helpful)
• June 14, 2019 - Remedical and Police Certificate request
• June 15, 2019 - Pre-Arrival Letter
• July 2, 2019 (contacted MP)
  
• July 4, 2019 - Medical accepted/Police Certifcate sumbitted prior
• July 4, 2019 - Passport Requested
  
• July 8, 2019 - Passport Submitted.
• July 11, 2019 - Visa Granted!!!
• July 26, 2019 - Flight and landing

added later, no letter sent
June 24, 2019 - Background Check Letter
July 10, 2019 - Decision Made

It took us almost 16 months, and our file went into a secondary review, I am not sure why but I have release of information documents to go through.
But right now we are both soo happy to even think about anything else.

wow..thank you for sharing this with us. Unfortunate that it took 16 months! but glad its all over and done with and you'll be reunited soon! Wondering how do you submit passport? do you courier it, or is it online? Ive sponsored my husband and he is in Pakistan waiting, we started dec 2018, and after the medical passed its been quiet..also anyway you can share the MP who helped you?

How the spousal sponsorship works i.e. Steps

London Visa Office Processing time is 11 Months

Dear all just for the clarity i m posting the process of Family sponsorship for understanding of all of thread members.

Phase 1: Sponsor's Approval


1. Sponsorship application submission (AT CPC-Mississauga)

2. First Email: application of sponsorship received by CPC-Mississauga (with in a week time or 10 days)

3. 2nd email: Sponsorship approval and File is sent to London Visa office for further processing (with in 1 month)
or if you are an old applicant (Islamabad Visa Office) then your file is transferred to LVO. whether you get email or not your file is in London.


Phase 2: Visa Office Stage (Principle Applicant or Spouse)

Steps: Eligibility Assessment (Relation is Genuine or not) > Re-Med if required > Back ground checks > PPR 1 > PPR2 > Visa Issued

5. Eligibility Assessment: Additional documents or Interview request from LVO to assess eligibility.(between 5-8 months is my best guess) Interview will most likely held in Islamabad but interviewer will be a person from LVO not from Islamabad (Interview is only to assess whether relationship is genuine or not).

6. background checks will be done after relationship is confirmed by Visa officer.

Passport request is Two step process as Pakistani law does not permit sending passport out of country

7. Passport request 1. PPR1 sending copies of the passport and pictures to LVO (30 days) (immediately send to LVO on given address)
after receiving your copies of passport and pictures. LVO will issue Visa and COPR issued as per your passport and send it to Islamabad

8. Passport Request 2. PPR2. Original passport and return address needs to be sent to Islamabad. (usually 30-45 days after PPR1) Send PPs through TCS visatronics

9. Visa is being pasted on Passport. VISA along with COPR is sent to your return address.

10. You are ready to land.........

A lot of ppl got spousal visa within 5 to 6 case to case vary situations ... you can say mostly not totally...

Normally 15 months. In some cases more than 18 months.

Very frustrating for newly married couples. Every minute is precious in first 12 months. But IRCC doesn't understand the urge of Pakistan's applicants.

If I choose to give interview in London then how many chances to get London visit visa. Please help me ......

If you can afford it I suggest that you should go to London for your interview. It is sort of an invitation letter and it's a strong reason so you have 95% chances of getting visa for UK. However I suggest that you should email IRCC about interview in London on the 7th day of receiving this letter. Becoz I got email from IRCC on 5th day in tht email they gave me date of interview after 15 day in Islamabad good luck

Wow, how can it be like that?! I don’t imagine going to London for interview or anything like it... maybe they just require interview from London, but you can give it in your country?
