Let us see what happens to the applicants who got the first invitation and later on CSQ from QC. Their timeline will be very interesting and enable us to get insights on whether or not QC gov will have any impact on federal gov when you compare with those existing applicants on the federal stage.
It seems a QSW applicant is able to get CSQ within 6 months but still needs to wait for the Federal for 21 months.

As long as they start to issue CSQs less than 12 months, the backlog of the PR applications at the Federal side will pile up quickly.
Because there is a yearly maximum quota which is given my Quebec for Federal to process applications.

So, optimizations at Arrima system is not actually that important. They must clear the backlog at the Federal side if they really want to accelerate their immigration process.

Otherwise, Quebec will process CSQ faster and Federal side PR processing times will exceed 24 months or more.

I got my CSQ after more than 48 months. Now, I am waiting for the Federal to process my application for 6 months.

Its 23 month's and 3 day of waiting. God knows how long wait for DM?
Have you tried to contact them and ask why since it's beyond the 21 months processing?

Hi guys,

Do you think CIC absolutely ask for a second ME if the first ME expired by DM date? I haven't received any email asking me to do a second ME, does it mean I still have a long way to go?

Thank you! Hope everyone can get results soon!

Greetings everybody, I'm a very rarely user on this form, however, with my busy schedule I do almost twice a week read the trends in Quebec immigration here. my journey just came to an end last week when I receive DM just after 15 to 16 months. I got my READY FOR VISA mail on Jun 26
and I have already submitted my passport for visa in Tanzania. Below is my time line...
1. Quebec Skilled certificate (Certificat de celection du Quebec) received December 2017
2. Application Received date...22nd Feb 2018.
3. AOR 25th March 2018
4. Processing OF application started on April 16, 2018.
5. Medical Request....September 28, 2018
6. Pre-arrival service...September 29, 2018
7. Medical passed.....October 15, 2018
8. Additional documents request October 22, 2018
9. DM and passport request ...26th June 2019

I'm an outland applicant from Rwanda, VO Tanzania. My area of training is Food Engineering. Im pretty sure that for those who have already applied will get DM soon, God is always faithful to his people, I will be happy to answer any question regarding my timeline. all the best my people.
I just want to know if you are ask to go for medical again, since your medical is almost expire .if no, how many months or year visa were you given?

This is the post that encouraged me to apply myself: CSQ to Obtain an Open Work Permit in Quebec Post #7

As suggested, I used the tool: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/come-canada-tool.html to guide me to the application. The main form I filled was the IMM5710e: Application to change conditions, extend my stay, or remain in Canada as a worker.

In this form I selected: "Apply for a work permit for the first time or with as new employer";
Type of work permit: "Open work Permit"; and
Name of employer: "Empty"

to name a few important fields

Aside from required forms, the document I provided were:

1) AOR
2) Proof of medicals done in last 1 year
3) Valid CSQ
4) Passport Photo
5) Passport pages
6) Valid current Work permit
7) Letter of explanation, which included cover letter, as well as 1) and 6) as PDF
8) Payment 155 + 100 CAD

I applied 4 months before my WP expires, and it took 3 month to get it. There is a small remark on the Work Permit that says "APR pending". APR means Application for Permanent Residence, I assume.

I'm an inland applicant, PEQ stream.

Hope this helps!

Hello, it is good to know that it’s possible to get an open work permit with a CSQ. I’m wondering what you answered in the guide tool link in the question: Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?

Should I expect to receive a document stating that I’m approved in principle?

I’m PEQ inland

Thanks

Definitely not. I received COPR 2 months after the expiry of my medical and received a visa valid for a year.
