Applicant's Country of Citizenship: USA.
Application Received: May 6, 2019.
OAR Received: June 26, 2019 (email to sponsor).
SA Received: July 4, 2019 (email with PDF letter to sponsor).
Biometrics Request: July 3, 2019 (message and pdf letter from applicant's GCKEY & notification about message sent to applicant's email).
Medical Request: July 4, 2019 (message and pdf letter from applicant's GCKEY & notification about message sent to applicant's email).

Hello Guys,

Any American applicants who have applied outland, but live in Canada?

I have sponsored my wife, who currently lives with me in Canada. She entered on a visitor visa and then we applied to extend her visa based on the fact that she was applying for PR. We were granted an extension and we have a visitor record for her that expires in September 2019. She has been living with me in Canada for about a year.

I have just received our biometrics request letter, and it explicitly states that she has to go outside Canada to get them done. I am worried about crossing the border and coming back, is this an issue? Has anybody ran into this problem before, and got the biometrics done in Canada instead?

As always, any help is appreciated!

What's next? I tried to link my app, but it says there was no application found.

One way to check your application status online without linking it is by using the below link

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en

Based on your app receipt, you should hear something possibly a request for biometric and medicals next week. Good luck

I am having trouble linking ours to our online account - we received our AOR and biometrics request and sponsorship approval today (application received May 13 2019) and have tried to link it to the online account. I was wondering what has worked for others doing the same thing?

I am having trouble linking ours to our online account - we received our AOR and biometrics request and sponsorship approval today (application received May 13 2019) and have tried to link it to the online account. I was wondering what has worked for others doing the same thing?

I first tried using File number and UCI copied and pasted from the AOR email. Then tried birth place (put the city only), with both 1 and 2 for number of applicants, didn't work. I then tried the file number and PA's family name, with birth place "city, state" copied and pasted from IMM0008 form, with 1 for the number applicant. Didn't work! I changed it to two and that FINALLY WORKED!!!

Summary:
File Number and PA's Last Name
Birth place as per IMM0008 (city, state)
Where applicant intends to stay information as per IMM0008
2 for number of applicants [applicant (wife) and sponsor (me)]
