Same as mine. AOR 25th May and no update since then but I have been told that it is pretty normal to wait for around 40 - 50 days for MEP to get updated

no worries, i am AOR May 23 and i just got my MEP today.. you will prolly get yours before the week ends or at most, early next week

I got the update on my medical just today... and asked for biometrics. Any idea if background check depends on biometrics result as I an asked to finish within 30 days....

My aor is June 06. No update so far. They take around 50 days for medical. Dont worry too much

Hi, don't worry. You shall hear sometime this week or early next week. MEP happens in 40 days from AOR so you are close. Many are on the same boat

We provided a notarized letter of explanation regarding this. Does this mean that the VO accepted our explanation regarding the kid's medical?? Does somebody has in idea?

If an applicant has a child (accompanying or not), your medicals are mandatory. However, if the whereabouts of the child are not known, and if the applicant does not have the custody of the child, it will suffice and IRCC will not mandate that you submit the medicals.

However, the application will not be able to sponsor the child in the future.
