All previously requested documents sent on Jul 2

No Biometrics letter yet. I hope with applicant being inside Canada, I don't have to, but I will give IRCC call centre a call later to further clarify.

Can you check whether there is any change in my cic under biometrics?

On a side note they been processing may 9 and 10 from last 2 weeks. 6-7 and 8 may had updates in the same week and may 9 and 10 have been in process last 2 weeks and on going may be.....

Got a pdf in mycic just now asking for biometric, the letter says must do it before going to Canada but my parents are on the flight to Canada now, not sure what to do now They only give 30 days from the letter to get it done and flight cost over 2K not to mentioned my parents are not healthy to take so many long flights in short time, I am so upset with IRCC policy on this biometric requirements! Why can't we do it inside Canada!!!

Can do at some service Canada when they are openned in Summer. But 30 days is too short as they have not annouced exact day when Service Canada starts to take biometrics

I have paid the biometric fees upfront, mum is here on supervisa and mentioned Canadian addresses same as you. So just being hopeful that biometrics will not be required for her too.

Call agents couldnt help much as expected. She said this is a first year program, technically everyone needs biometrics but maybe for applicants inside Canada, it's case by case so no receiving the request is not "unheard of". I guess I'll just wait until next request arrives. I have already submitted all requested docs.

Sponsor also called to confirm the decision is positive after DM, however, need to wait for the official DM letter.

it was not related to money, i heard that someone get call for parent address confirmation. i assumed that CRA and IRCC contacts only by mail and never by phone. Did anybody hear about such practice?

When I did my CEC back in 2014, I received a phone call from my case officer at work. He was calling just to confirm that I was still working in that company as I forgot to date the employment letter when submitted the package. Somehow the phone call was transferred directly to me. There was NO personal information asked, he only confirmed my name and DOB. After confirmation, he issued my PPR within 15 minutes.

However, this is only for CEC case and it was FIVE years ago. Not sure if anyone will call for PGP case nowadays.

I just called CIC and got temporary file numbers with an "X" - The agent said the file hasn't been processed or opened yet. She couldn't confirm any other detail.
