I can see that your background check says that “your application is in progress”.. I have gotten MEP yet but my background says “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information”..

Now a days it can be LVO, CIO, CPC if am not wrong. Seeing the work load, IRCC is distributing the cases. I guess cases handled by LVOs must be at advantage since LVOs are aware of local conditions - BG, Criminality or even work history verification might be faster.

I received an email today from CIC said there is update and my profile BG check is showing "Your Application is in Progress, we will send you a message when we start your BGC"
