Sorry I am not sure what "on hold" status means but a suggestion- have you tried contacting MP of your area and seeked help from them to contact IRCC and find out what is making your application processing so slow?
yes I did....she says the call centre wont give her much info....but she thinks maybe the file is waiting for final review...that sound unlikely to me becoz why put a file on hold if waiting for final review....security...eligibility and medicals passed the file went on hold exactly a week after the security was passed...so I'm thinking maybe they found something in security that made the file on hold?? but then if that's the case why the security is passed??...I am sooo sooo worried
For birth certificates not in english, do we have to submit the (English) translated version notarized and also attach the original non translated birth certificate? I got a letter from CIC that the application is incomplete and to attach a notarized certified translated version with the original version of the birth certificate. Dont remember seeing this in the checklist that we should send the original one as well.
Glad that they gave me the opportunity to send these docs rather than returning the application as incomplete.
Thank u for the reply. No none of my family members ever had a visa refused to them. I am wondering if they can put a file on hold for final review?? I am looking for answers and there is nothing I can find....very frustrating. my mp said there is bring forward date mentioned in file either so it's on hold for indifinte period of time??....this website says the officer must write the reason for putting file status on hold...but on gcms notes there is no reason mentioned.
As your application is in process for quite long time, I will advise you to contact IRCC and ask for clarification and also about the next step on your application.
trust me, even if I find the post super useful, no matter how many times he posts it, no one will bother to read it. Some people didn't even read the instruction guide or even the checklist and you think they are going to read a post in a forum ?
