No. We applied for OWP when we sent the application so have OWP which expires November 2020. We had visitor visa before OWP which expired before we got OWP. But we applied for an extension before the visitor visa expired so that counted as implied status. We received the OWP before we received the visitor visa extension so we cancelled the visitor visa application and got our money back. Hope this helps.

Hello. I see you are US to Canada. Did they ask you to get your RCMP check? I haven't received a request for mine, and I was wondering when they asked for yours. Thank you for your time.

Is there anyone who has received an interview letter or DM that wasn't asked to do their RCMP check? I haven't received any of this, but I also haven't been asked to do my RCMP check. Anyone else that hasn't been asked? Thank you.

Yes. My BGC changed to being processed status. I think back in late March or early April.

I think that the phone system provides the general timeline for processing and I wouldn’t be surprised if some officers sit on the application until it hits the day for processing and then finalize it.
Last I called CIC 3 weeks ago, the agent told me that everything on my app looked completed (BGC and eligibility) and was just waiting for a final decision from the immigration officer and that they had until August 1 to do so...
