I think I will wait patiently for their correspondence . Let’s hope they clear 2017 applications rather than clearing 2018 ones
Isn’t it supposed to be first come first service? Why they are giving decisions to later applicants hanging us? Is this common for IRCC,- asking this to u incase you have been in the forum long enough to witness similar cases
In my opinion, this instance happened because, for few people who had applied in Nov-Dec 2017, their medical expiry date was nearer compared to other folks(March-June 2017 applicants) for most of whom the medical expiry is around Oct 2019. Just a wild guess.
Can anyone on this blog articulate how the provincial scary-leaning politics are affecting these timelines? I get that we are applying to become residents of la belle province but isn't this process outside of the always very welcoming and accepting
Quebecois officials? Just trying to make a little more sense of what is this really all about. Thanks and stay strong
Please I have a situation does anyone have the same?
I just got the screenshot of my Gckey from my Lawyer and something is not clear to me. I got my Medical Request in June 2018 and passed Medicals in Aug 2018. To my surprise, now I have Medicals Passed as Dec 2017 is that not strange?
Please anyone with the same situation?

Tomorrow they will make a maintenance on GCKey site. Maybe this is due to some problem that will be corrected in this maintenance.

They did a maintenance last week and after that, the medical date shown is the one of my AOR. Many people reported this problem on an other forum. They are doing an other maintenance tomorrow. So it may be changed back.

Hi dear,
Same for me. Actually its an error. Dec 17 is actually the AOR date...the date they actually open your file.
Don’t be
you are today closer to the PR status than most of us in this forum. When you say no change , is your background check completed on GC key? I assume medical is passed so has the background check moved from “we are processing your background check.” back to “your application is in process” ? If yes, then it should not be long for Decision Made
Thanks for your reply. The present status is given below for your valuable advice. In fact how long need to wait?:
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing your eligibility whether you meet the eligibility requirement.
Medical: Passed
Interview: not required, if changes we will inform
Biometrics: not required, if changes we will inform
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you message, if we need more information
Final decision: Your application is in process. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Your application is taking us longer than usual to process. About 20% of our application are more complex to process. they take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information.
