Does it say that you have cleared your eligibility or is eligibility still in review? And is background check in process? Do you live in UAE?
They basically asked my husband about reason for leaving UAE and his occupation in UAE. They also asked about our plans for future in Canada. My husband and I were interviewed separately but the interviewer did not focus on double checking our answers for the most part, he asked us different questions specific to our application.

yes eligibility is in review and Bgc also in process. yes i’m living in uae from long time. just praying that i get ppr direct i don’t know where is my file because we have a lawyer.but i’m sure its not transfer any where!!
It’s been four weeks since we received DM but no passport request yet. What should our next steps be? Will sending an inquiry on the web form make any difference?

A medical is only valid for a year. As per the timeline it was about to expire in a month and thus it was requested. Visa issued after ppr is valid till the expiry of medicals and so they make sure there's enough time.
