Hi everyone, I am filling forms with a few concerns
1. form IMM5768
My husband, he has never co-signed since we got married and he is going to cosign to sponsor my parent.
Question 4 Complete this section only if you spouse or common-law partner is co-signing the undertaking -> Should I put 0 for all?
Question 5 your spouse or common-in-law partner, if not included in 3 above. Provide details on the back of this page if he or she is not co-signing the undertaking => I put 1 and wrote not applicable on the back (because he is my husband and WILL cosign)
. I do not quite understand "is co-signing or not co-signing" means it was cosigned previously and still effective???
2. Schedule A IMM5669E
It says "I agree that by typing my name, I am electronically signing my application" -> Do we have to do handwriting signature as well??

As the guide advises, "If you need to make any changes to your information after you submit your application, you can send a request using our Web form."

NO, just attach a letter explaining with your application. Request through web form applies ONLY if you already submitted your application (not interest form)

Hi everyone. For IMM 5669, Question 6, both my parents have been with their employers for more than 10 years. Of course they have traveled as well during this time. However if I go by the guide, it would mean just one entry for that question which would be around their employment, since they have never been unemployed or gone to school during the 10 year period.

Is that the correct approach?

I am sponsoring my mother. To prove my relation with my mother, they are asking for my Birth Certificate Since i borne in 1965, there is no record for my birth except my Matric certificate that too have my late Father's name. To prove my relation, i have my OCI and cancelled passport of India which shows my mother's name. What should i do as i have everything ready except my birthday certificate.

How can I go back and check what i have entered in the Interest form, can I access it somehow ??

I don't remember what info I filled....it was so rushed ...............

I don’t think there is any way to check it, but if you suspect that you might have done a mistake, prepare an explanation letter, mention in it that you might have put a different family size.

What should i do to show my invitation on my application.

Hi,

I am a bit confused now , its just me and my husband and want to sponsor my parents 2.

So i filled out the interest form as below

• the number of family members in your family unit -2
  
  
• the total number of persons you want to sponsor, including their dependants (spouse, partner and children) - 2

Yes, the family unit size need to include your parents.

Hi again .
Just wanting an opinion / thoughts - I know at the end of the its a judgement call on my part.
I am sponsoring both my parents .
Fathers health is questionable with cardiac /diabetic problems ,Mother is reasonably well
Based on that would it make more sense to make my mother the principal applicant ??? Does it even matter ???

I am also in same boat. When we filled the EOI was there any indication of principal applicant? A lawyer who handled a friends application few years back made mother as principal applicant...just my two cents ..some more insights requested

Hi everyone....I have some questions if anyone can provide me some advise so that I can prepare the application package.

1. Received invitation to apply for my father on april 24

2. My father married someone after my mother passed away in 2003. After that the 2nd marriage wife didn't work out and they are separated since 2009 but never filed for divorce or legal separation. Now my father Is applying for divorce since she will not cooperate with this immigration to Canada nor she wants to come. So my question is what do I include in my application to explain to cic? some say affidavit and some say divorce filing receipt?

3. I am also divorced in Canada officially - so I put 2 persons as family unit since I never applied for my ex spouse - rather I added her initially when I applied for pr in Canada - inland I was the principal applicant. Should I also include my divorce certificate? We have no children.

4. I do meet all the income requirement and I am working for the same company for 10+ years.
