Has anyone received a pre-arrival services email before medical? What was the timeline / time gap between pre-arrival services email and MR?

I got a status update that says estimated time remaining for me is 17weeks .

Do anyone has such on there status

For me estimated processing time is 28-May-2019. I don't know whether I will get within the time frame or not. waiting......

Hello, my documents for trousse federal was received on the 2nd October 2018, 3 months later, I was called for a finger print at my nearest VAC.the passport I had used when applying for my CSQ had expired so I used a new passport at the VAC, its 8 months now after reception of my application for PR, I haven't been given a medical

Hi, Did you update to CIC that you have got a new Passport now? If not, raise a web form and submit copies of the new passport. Secondly, it has nothing to do with not getting the Medical Request. I too applied on 11th Oct 2018 and am still waiting for the medical request.

What's your status as of now? Have you received your CSQ and your Federal Application is in progress? Or have you received your PR?

If your application is still under progress, it's better to get your PR first, and then sponsor your spouse upon landing in Canada, else you both might get re-evaluated again by MIDI. If you have already landed in Canada and have received PR, then you can sponsor for sure, however, I don't have much insights into the process. Probably someone else in this forum can help you in that case. Thanks.

which means that it went a few days beyond the estimated time frame mentioned. correct? did you contact them or just wait patiently?

I would request experts to let me know what is the minimum points required for CSQ. I believe it is 49. My question is do I stand a chance if I have 49.

You mean time remaining for you application to complete? On cic it says 20 month from the date they receive your application. Those who have access to GC Key have a timeline indicating where they are in their 20 month average processing time as a countdown. My paper based was returned in January 2018 for resubmission online so I don’t know much for the paper base sorry. Feel free to ask all your questions

Do as Ertarun said but anyway, medical request is a mystery. You can have it fast and still wait months for background checks and documents verifications to complete. In my case, the checks and verification have started according to GC key page but no MR yet...

Best thing to do is wait
