No, you don't need their birth certificate. You only need it if you are sponsoring your grand parents.

Hello,

I received the Parents and Grandparents Program Invitation for sponsoring my father last week (mother is deceased) and there are no other dependents.

1. My date for form submission is June 28, 2019. However my father is currently here with me in Canada on Tourist visa until mid-July. Does he have to go back to India or he can apply from here as he is legally in Canada on tourist visa? In that case can I give the mailing address as my address in Canada?

2. My father crossed 79 years (but he has not turned 80 years). Does he need to give Biometrics?

1. No he doesn't have to go back. And yes you can give current address as mailing address.

But i put for both dad and mom.

I'm sponsoring my mom. She is widowed, my sister is married and 25 year's old. So my mom doesn't have to fill additional dependents form (IMM008DEP) right ?

You should still apply either way...the chance that they will check your income in 2019 or 2020 is 50%.

No I am fine. Asking for the OP of the question. @canuck78 has been scolding me for telling people who dont meet requirements to apply anyway. Because it wastes the IRCC time and costs thousands of dollars for them to process and then reject.

PLEASE HELP/COMMENT.......I'm filling in the Schedule 1 for my father. His father's date of birth is in 1800 which the the form does not accept. The guideline says write it with hand if before 1900, however the form cannot be validated. What should I do? anyone had the same experience? Is it fine to send them the form which is not marked as Validated?

Me and my wife are applying for both of our parent's sponsorship application under PGP 2019 (Family of 6). We are singing each other's applications as co-signers. Do we mention this current undertaking (2019 applications) in this form as undertaking not yer in effect? in other words do I mention my wife's parents (whom I am co-signing) in question no 3 B-iv in this form? For those who want to sponsor their parents, forget about IMM008DEP

Your case: Only your mother - IMM008DEP is totally irrelevant - Your mother is the principal applicant and that's it!

I used another similar form, on the top i just mentioned my dad’s name and DOB (didnt mention anything else)
And in the section C - the 2 missing siblings info.

Will be putting to be continued on the first main form.

Did you check with IRCC agents ?? or just hoping they'll accept this way?

There's a note on the guide regarding this situation:
"Note: If you do not know the complete date of birth or if the date is in the 1800s, please use a “*” (star sign/asterisk) to fill in the spaces for the unknown year, month or day. The missing information can be added by hand however the form cannot be validated."
