same here .. medical passed 3/27, pcc 3/22 , not started BC check .. i called them, they said we have received the document but they have not looked at it yet...

Hello folks,

Got status updated that "Medical is passed" for Parents (Inlaws). But no information about PCC. Does anyone know, if need to upload via GCkey or have to send paper to Ottawa Office or any office I can send?
How much time it would take for PCC email from IRCC after medical passed/submitted?

Hi yulia..any idea how long on an average for Ottawa to send ppr after medical and pic.. it's month and a half for me already since medical passed....bcheck in progress from same time...a few people who got medical already got ppr. .

I even called cic last week...was told by agent that they don't need any documents and bchecks are ongoing...

depends on travel info, if they worked in government , my BC was 1 year

I can add i have a guy in 2017 who has to redo Medical now, old one is expired so be prepared for bad scenario.
Many people in 2016 redid medical as well while 2017 get PPR
Plus 20k cases 2019 are coming

If you have provided them with an email address and linked the application to GCKey account then you will get it via email- This should be preferred by yourself as it is the quickest way to get the correspondences.

For some reason I can never link my application to the GCKey account. Thats, the reason I wanted to know if they send you an email or the applicant to request medical or PCC.

I have a question about sponsoring parents. I really appreciate if you could help me.
In order to sponsor parents, I and my co-signer need to provide proof of income for 3 consecutive taxation years (2016, 2017, and 2018).
I'm in Canada since June 2016. I was a student from September 2016 until December 2018.
But my husband who is going to be my co-signer has more than required income for 3 consecutive taxation years.
I was wondering if I'm still eligible to sponsor my parents?

If spouse have only two year tax return can I add her as consigner, I have 3 year of tax returns as sponsor?

Please help if someone got approved as sponsor with two return of co signer . I fulfil income for 3 year . In 2016 I alone have enough income . In 2017n 2018 , I have required income by adding co-signer . But cosigner don’t have 2016 return.

Thanks, it is a new thing for me. However, I still feel that they may not request for it.

Make no mistake, though, that they will make you pay the applicable fees for biometrics. Even if for some reason old biometrics can be used. I would pay upfront to avoid delays.

Hi Folks,
You guys were lucky to sponsor your parents or grandparents, this year I got invitation to sponsor my mother as well. If you can help me in anyways to make our process smooth by providing any advice or suggestions, that will be highly appreciated. I read the guide thoroughly and i'm prepared but just want to be safe !

I meet income requirements as a sponsor but i'm planing to add my wife as a co-singer just to be proactive for future job less or anything like that.
I'm sponsoring only my mother as my father is expired. I have a sister who is 25 year's old and married, so she is not a dependent any more.
My mother is staying with us in Canada as a visitor, she had been visited my sister in USA as well. She will be going to back to her home country within two months and after that she will be in USA as a visitor for a year or so.

Kindly share your advises, valuable thoughts or suggestions to make our process smoother . Thanks in advance.. God bless you all
