can someone tell me about the second agent process? what does this mean?

Hi, my aor 6 September, I got the same reply from a call center agent. As i was explained by her it means that any application is first checked by some agent, then finally checked by an officer. Officer is a higher position, obviously. So yours (and mine) was checked by the first sgent, and for months just waiting when an officer finally tackle it. The call center girl also added that everything seems fine, eligibility is met, it is just waiting for an officer to open a file.

My case is the same. AOR - 9th Sep. No option but to sit tight I guess.

My situation is simular, but i decided to order gcms, still waiting. I also finally reached cic call center, but call agent said that file is waiting for a check by second officer and she will leave him a note. But then she added that honestly such notes dont help. So i guess all attempts to be proactive are useless and result is the same as sit and wait)))))

changed to IP2 from IP1 ..

Hi All,
My AOR is 18th Sept. My medicals have passed, and background check is in progress.
Off late, whenever I am raising a web query to ask for my application, I am not getting any emails from their end. Not even the automated confirmation email, which states your web query has been submitted.

Is anyone else facing the similar issue? Please let me know.

Hey did you ask why the agent said August? Did he or she see any due date on or other indications on your file?

The agent just kept on repeating the same thing:
Lets give CIC/IRCC some time to process your application. They need to do eligibility, security and criminality for both you and your husband. Hence, lets give them time until August. No other response given.

Same here!
My AOR is Sep 8th and the file hasn't been touched since last October after Medical passed. It's in Ottawa I believe. Because the GCMS note says it's in Ottawa but in the other mail from IRCC says it's in Manila. I don't know what's going on. Eligibility RR / Background Check is under processing / Security not yet started.

Hey Guys...

Just received an email from CIC after I requested call centre to send a remainder to the officer...

"This email is in response to an inquiry via the Call Centre requesting the status of the above noted application.

Application is awaiting the review of an OFFICER.

Notification will be sent in due course."

Is this a positive sign? My Aor is Sep 18th, still in IP1.....

Hi guys, I received a ghost update this weekend and yesterday I called the call center. The agent told me that the ghost update I received is because my application has been approved but the email hasn't been sent out yet. My timeline is:

AOR 27 Septemeber 2018
Med Passed 26 October
No updates whatsoever
IP2 since AOR
Biometrics collected on 30 October
Ghost update 13 April 2019
Called on 16 April and said my application has been approved

Now waiting for the golden email

Pls guide what is sytem error and how much more time it could take!! feeling frustrated with the wait

ordering CBSA or CSIS notes would help to know the situation?? i am outland candidate.
