yesterday CIC agent told me file has been transferred to my home city Ottawa. Is it a good sign?

Any idea how much is the average processing time for Ottawa?

Are you sponsor approved? How long has your application been in Sydney? What is the nationality of the PA? Inland or outland?

Depending on the answers, this may be where they normally send it OR IF you are sponsor approved, then this is CIC sending your pack on to a Visa Office for PA assessment. They sometimes send cases to Mississauga or Ottawa rather than say London to balance workload / take the pressure off other backlogged offices. Mississauga or Ottawa are definitely to be preferred to say London if you want thing to move more quickly. But you are still talking weeks or months yet, but likely to be fewer than if it went to London.

My file file was transferred from Mississuaga which is my local location and now last month i find out that its in Vancouver
There is always some concerns about files.
I ordered my notes there is no falgs just says reason to transfer is eligibility.
So its good if u order notes so u m know whats going on
