Hi Jimk
Well as you may be aware that the current processing time is 20 months. So lets say your application is filed on October 1st 2017 then in that case your 20 months get over on May 31st 2019. My suggestion is now do not contact them till you complete at least 21 months of your processing time. And if on the date you complete 20 months you see the processing time has increased to 21 or 22 months then extend your date further by those many months and wait again till you exceed the processing time given and an additional month.
Just for your information, I am an applicant from May 8th 2017 and they haven't yet reached till me. Currently they are processing applications from February and March 2017. Just one application from July 2017 was surprisingly processed recently. Anyway so the bottom line is you, I and many other applicants like us who have filed since March 2017 are still required to wait in line. All the best!

Well composed. You are totally right INDIA2674.
I Submitted on the 25th of Sept 2017. We are not expecting any response till May 25th 2019. And God willing we may hear from them before then.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and have faith.

Hi Leokun I have seen this link before too. This, as per my understanding is for those who are yet to apply. Biometrics was first introduced by Canada with effect from July 31st 2018 for applicants from countries in Africa, Europe and Middle East. In the second phase they extended to other parts of the world which included, Asia, Asia Pacific and America. This is not however for those who have already applied and are in the federal stream since prior to December 2018.
Guyz ... they've been increasing the processing times all the time. I feel we must act together and hustle in order to make things move, not just for us but also for the new applicants. We have to come up with something that'd hustle officials to improve their work efficiency and make the process faster, and also enlighten everyone with what we are going through. My say is to tweet our issue tagging Federal agency, news networks and govt officials (if anyone knows). I need yous help. Who's in?

I received this email today. I am in my 20 months and 3 weeks already
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
Please be informed that we are awaiting the results of some internal processing prior to the finalization of your application. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times. At this time, there is nothing that is required on your part. Your continued patience is greatly appreciated

Hi Ghostrider0789
Relax friend. Their communication to you clearly states that they have received your application. The next line states that your application will be processed according to the date it was received. So on one side you are assured that your application is received. The only delay as per my knowledge is probably because of the surge in the applications received. Give them some more time before you receive your AOR.
Actually I have called them yesterday and I came know something very strange,
The agent told me, CSQ verification is pending in my file, Hence AOR is not issued yet.

Hi again
GCMS notes are drawn by an external agency which is in no way related to IRCC. You can order for these notes whatever number of times, it doesn't affect your application in anyway. Neither is it processed faster nor is it held back.

Now that's strange. I don't have an answer to this. But I will definitely try and seek an answer and inform you as soon as I get to know anything
