just called and spoke to a pleasant and helpful agent fortunately.
Eligibility is in process and the agent is checking through my documents
Background checks haven't started yet
Security has been passed.

My office is Ottawa. I asked specifically if the agent believed my application would be processed within the 6 months and they said they couldn't see a reason why it wouldn't as they had everything asked for.

Not holding my breath but seemed positive in that it is moving at least. My AOR was 20th October.

Before now ...the usual way is eligibility b4 others ...now they go in different ways ..like mine was criminality.. And am awaiting eligibility and security... Don't know wen they will start or they be tru...have 53 days left ..aor Oct 12th

Congratulations! I am also NOC 4112z What exactly did you submit as proof of work experience? Just the Reference Letter stating your roles and duties? How about for proof of funds? Would appreciate your response.

I submitted my bank statement for last 9 months which had irregular payment of my salary. For 2.5 years I just submitted the experience letter and I had done some arbitration for Religare . I also submitted a copy of my appointment letter as arbitrator.
One of my friend has got made experience letter from the Delhi bar council. He is submitting that.

What I was told anyway, I'm not sure if there is a certain order or if that is bad sign?

In fairness in regard to eligibility she was a little vague and just said the agent was checking I met the stream applied for, she didn't specifically say it was still in progress or not or recommended pass. I wish i had pushed for more detail now but presumed the way she said it that it meant it was still ongoing.

I think you’re confusing criminality with security. Both criminality and security are a part of background check. Criminality and Eligibility are processed parallely. Security check is the last step. Your file will not go for security until all other steps are cleared. Hope this helps.

what i noticed is that they rain down ppr emails every fortnight (every alternate Thursday) like 31st, 14th and now its going to be on 28th most probably...even then dont expect for indian residents any time soon
