Hey @cansha - I called CIC a week or two ago and found out that my application was getting processed in Montreal. My timeline is a part of my signature. When i called them, i was told that my eligibility was still in process/ not completed and Background check including Criminality has not started and would start only when Eligibility is complete.

Hi, what's the number to call CIC? Could you please provide the number to reach them?

Looks like I can not dial in from outside of Canada. I tried dialing the IRCC international number and they transferred me to CIC and the call went to an automated voicemail saying the toll free number is not accessible from my calling area which is in United States.

You need to use Google Hangouts. Use desktop site on mobile phone. No need for app

I should have applied when i was outland.

But hopefully it isn't too far away now. Have you ordered any gcms notes? What does it say?

Hey buddy, we have the same case, what I did was I wrote a letter of explanation regarding my proof of fund, apparently in-land applicant with a valid work permit, does not need to show proof of fund

I know, I did it too in my LOE, but it seems the case analyst ignored it for some reason.
Not only that, I even sent an employment confirmation letter with my salary...

I got to know that my VO is Montreal and the processing times are quite long. Is there a whatsapp group or any specific social group to connect with other Montreal applicants? I am completing my 6 months mark on Saturday, still in IP1.
How can I send an email or any form of communication to CIC/IRCC regarding the status? will it be useful?
I am a FSW-Outland applicant.
