I got the PCC request along with the Medical request. I will do medical next week and together with the PCC, will send them out to CIC. So you see, in a nutshell, I got background check completed, application in a queue for review, then Medical request along with PCC. So my question was: how long will I wait to get Decision Made and PPC, since my process is over? It is been 19 months that I have been in this process.
Also those waiting for 3 to 4 months before getting DM after medical, was their background check over before, during or after that period? Do you know?
Sorry, I don't know that. But I think you shouldn't wait long after medicals if background check and security screening is done.
Dear INDIA2674 , What do you mean by IP2?
Dear epooo,
It is normally observed that the application goes through 5 stages before the final stage that is the PPR (Passport Request). IP2 happens to be the fifth stage that is the stage of background check wherein the visa officer checks all the recommendations of different visa officers before finally issuing a passport request. For Express Entry applicants this stage is completed in just one day if all documents are in place and recommendations positive. However for CSQ applicants it takes time. Please go through the attached link in detail.

hmmmm, let us hope the best for all. I thought things would move on much faster at the federal stage. A friend of mine has got the CSQ in Jan 2018 and was asked for the the passports in Aug the same year.
Surprising but encouraging too. Lets hope our processes move faster too.
Don't worry, you will be successful in the end. I can guarantee you that. Just relax, your countdown has already begun.
Cheers!
This motivation is what keeps us all going. Cheers!

Thanks very much.

Dears,
After I got AoR, how can I link my application to ECAS or CIC portal to track my application process? Are they both same websites or different?
Btw, I already have an account on CIC portal, also have UCI from my TRV. Could I use the same account to combine them to see all my applications together through the same portal?
I have heard of certain group of Applicants(no evidence though) petitioning the Minister of Immigration in Canadian and drawing his attention to long delays in application processes.
From what i see, it might be a manpower constraint and the pressure could trigger the authorities to deploy more resources to fastrack this process. 19 months is very discouraging and now i hear 22-23 months ! Certainly, there is something abut the process that needs to be urgently addressed and improved upon !
What do you think, friend(s)? Can we explore this petition Option? Can we reach out to authorities? You never can tell. All things are possible
The maximum processing time is 21 months

I got the reply of my inquiry (web-form); NDVO
Please be advised your file is pending background checks. At present no action is required on your part. Once the checks are complete, our office will contact you with further instructions.
Guys, how long does it take for background checks?

It's been for me since Nov 16 2018 the backgrounds checks without response. Hopefully, going to get an answer soon!
Cheers.

I agree and understand what you mean here, but let's bear in mind that a country's last priority is its economic immigration program. They bigger issues to deal with such as - Defence, national security, health and occupation, social problems etc. I doubt if adding more and more petitions will push them to reduce processing timelines. Waiting patiently is the only option per me.
Thanks.
Hi, yes he is. wer like best friends.
OK.
Our timelines are close. AOR Feb 2018. MR July 2018
Did you get Landing Fee request in between AOR and MR? Just curious since I applied in Oct-2018 and paid the landing fee upfront. I got my UCI in Dec-2018 and since then waiting for medical request.
Thanks.
