Guys I need help 226 have passed without single update, from my understanding there is no point of calling cic, because they are not very helpful, email is not an option because someone like Mathew will replay with copy and paste line !!!I was thinking to email MP but again I'm not sure, shall i email MP of Edmonton ..?Any help would be appreciated?Cheers in advance?
Check who's the mp from your area. First mail if you do not get response then call. MP will invite you to the office to sign a consent form. Then they'll keep in touch with cic regarding your case.

You dont need to go in person to fill up the consent form at least not for every MP.
The MP, I contacted recently emailed me the consent form and asked me to provide signed consent form and a brief description as to what kind of application I have made, when it was submitted as well as when did I last received communication from IRCC.

When i first wrote to them, they replied back to me with the consent form the next day. In the email they mentioned that they will revert back to me in 5-7 days once I provide them the consent form and all details.
But I did not provide them with the signed consent form.
