I just want to start my process of relocating to Canada with my family.
I don't even know what to apply for; Express Entry, Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration, Provincial Nomination Program Immigration, ...
My wife and I have Master's degree.
I am 37 and my wife 33.
I have a relative who received PNP nomination from Manitoba and AOR since June 2018. She has been told that her application is in the accra visa office. Does anyone know how long is the process from AOR to PPR in the accra visa office? I have seen some very scary processing times. Any information would be helpful or If i can get directed to the right thread, even better.

I will like to quickly list the very first steps towards immigrating as a Federal Skilled Worker, the scheme that I believe presently suite your status.
You need to get all your academic transcripts and forward to World Education Services(www.wes.org ). This is the agent that evaluate the foreign degree and benchmark with a Canadian degree equivalent. Please do the same for your wife so that you can be better positioned.
The second step which can run concurrently with the first is to undergo Canadian Language Benchmarks(CLB). Canadians speak two major official languages, English and French. You have to have proficiency in either of the two so that you can have sufficient points that meet the selection criteria for invitation to apply as a FSW. You will have to seat for language test to establish the language proficiency, and The British Council is one of the agents approved to conduct the test so the principal applicant and the spouse will have to undergo International English Language Testing System(IELTS).
There are for components to the test:
Listening
Speaking
Reading
Writing
There are two versions of the test:
Academic Training
General Training.
General Training is the one required for immigration purpose
It, in my opinion, to try as much as possible to score at least 8 points in Listening and 8 in each of speaking, reading and writing for you have a very high chance of maximizing the CLB points. You can book your test online at .British Council IELTS Online Application
When you complete all the above mentioned, you will need to create an online account on the government site where you upload all copies of the documents. The account will be used for point-based selection, and if you are selected, the govt will write to you to apply for a permanent resident visa.
Then, phase 2 of the process begins. These are my opinions based on my understanding, and the ultimate information can be found on the government site
