anyone's document in HK office? how long does it to make the final decision after medical exam passed?

Thanks YULIA, I really appreciate all your inputs, I'm just kinda worried, but my dad's passport is on it's way already going here to my Canadian address. i don't wanna waste anytime, as they,re only giving me 30 days to submit. Here's my timeline:

Country : Philippines
Application received to Ottawa: April 27, 2018
Aor: June 26
SA : August 22
Med request: August 31
Travels/PCC request: Sept. 14
CV/Resume request : Nov. 14
PPR : Jan 4, 2019 (was given 30 days to submit)

Hi Yulia,

Just a follow up on this one, my parents already did the PCC Oct 2018 and Medicals on Nov 2018 and my parents both passed the medical as per CIC Account, my question is while waiting I am planning to bring my mom here in Canada this Feb 2019 because she still got visitors visa valid till Dec 2019, if the time comes that CIC asked for their passport like what you said the parent here in Canada can send the passport here in Ottawa and the other parent in the country back home ( Philippines too), my question is the parent here can do the landing here as PR without going back to the
Philippines ?

My dad is the principal applicant and it is necessary that the principal has to land as PR first before the dependent lands am I right?

Appreciate your input on this?

Mine is in HK. Medical is done back in Sep and passed same month. Still in process....

no she cant since dad is PA
you can meet him in airport and do landing for both

I have a question. With 2019 Parents and Grand Parents program approaching, I know they would take into account income level of last 3 years.

Here's my question.

For this year, the eligible income should be of 2016,2017 & 2018 i understand. We are a family of 3 and i am sponsoring my mom & dad so total family size becomes 5. Now in the year 2016 it was just my self and my wife. So income level for 5 people still be needed for that year even-though we were only 4 (my daughter born in 2017).

What CIC is looking for is proving you are able to provide the minimum income for the current number of people in your family for the past three years. You need to show it for all the years

But is there also such a thing that you will book a specific time with immigration officials to do the landing? I feel like i read something like that before?

I don't think you can book an appointment to do landing at the airport. If both of your parents are in Canada, then you could make an appointment with a nearest immigration office for landing.

Yes, your income needs to meet LICO for 5 people for the past 3 years including the years in which you have less family members.

Hi guys, just wanted to share some information regarding the Landing. I took my parents for an inland landing to the Etobicoke office on Dec 14th. We got there 30 mins early. I wasn't sure if I was to take another set of photographs for them as we had already attached the photographs with their PPR. I took two more copies of their photos anyway. When we walked into the immigration office, we were asked to show the invitation email/letter and their passport. You then take a token, and wait for your turn to go see the officer. The officer was very polite to my parents and recognized that they may have difficulty understanding him (I had also stated that as soon as I saw him at the counter). The sponsor has to be there obviously with the people who're landing. The officer asked each of my parent whether they had ever been convicted of a crime or if they were denied entry into Canada or if they were ever asked to leave Canada. Obviously, in our case the answer to those questions was NO. They signed their landing papers (one copy for self and one copy for immigrations). The end. Hope this information helps.

By the way, keyword on the thread you quoted is "inland landing" which means both parents are already in Canada. Your case is different, as the principle applicant is outside Canada. You could call CIC and inquire your options if you really want to be sure. But, I'm 85% sure you cannot make appointment for landing at the airport. That said, I'm not an expert.
