Yes you can request them to change it to New York VO. There were a few cases where PPR email itself instructed people to submit passport at NYC.
That is interesting. Do you know if there are delays for this if we preemptively say we want to send to NY before ppr? I can just drop and pick up from NY and avoid all the crazy shipping in winter

There is no point in doing so. Wait for PPR and get it changed. You can send a request before that but most likely it will be ignored. Plus when they change VO they reset 30 days timeline so no issues.
i dont want them to issue 6 PPR's in a day and then go silent for next 6 weeks! that would be terrible. 6 a day everyday sounds real good!
Anyways do any one know what does the progress bar show once you cross the 6 month mark ? What does it display ?

Application status
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.
About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.
If you aren't seeing updates, contact us using this
Web form. Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to.

Thanks
@cansha for sharing the info.
This is just my opinion..upon reading that for the first time. It just feels like they are blaming us for delayed process. Nicely drafted message that says “you might be at fault” for delayed processing lol.
So basically the status bar disappears after 6 month mark.
Thanks

Status bar stays just the message changes. The status bar has no meaning.

There a lot of " no meaning " thing, just like the due date. If Reccomended pass , then they just need to look at it on the due date and pass it.
Thanks

Of course they are doing the hard work. It’s our fault that we didn’t teach out files to pop out in front of them. How can they work on the file if it fails to pop out. Definitely our fault

Got you. Thank you.
Yes, the address on my letter was
CPC – Ottawa – PR P.O. Box 8781 Ottawa, ON
K1G 5B3
When i reached out to the e-mail address on the letter, they asked me to send it to :
CPC-O
365 Laurier ave W.
Ottawa (ON) K1A 1L1
@cansha he emailed Montreal with an email address!
Oh wow. That UPS driver needs a knock on his head!
I am glad your passports were found. Whew!!! Such a relief for you.
I think some people on this thread have talked about the p.o box address and an alrernative one to send to. I am not sure.
I don't know if requesting that you send your passport to another VO would be acknowledged or that may even cause a longer wait time. I understand your paranoia but you may need to call them and ask for the alternate address or find out from folks who had gotten passports back
The "knock on the head" comment really stands you out as Nigerian

Hahahahahaaha I suspected you were Nigerian too. Tobs?! Tobii lol.
For Montreal

?
It may be that July files were re-assigned to a new "efficient VO" who had cleared his desk..cos having six PPRs on the same day from Montreal is very very very surprising
I really hope they keep up the pace...God knows how tiry is the wait!

NY Visa center has terrible reviews and cases of passports getting lost so probably better to stick with Ottawa!. Unless you drop off and pick up I think
