I'm getting worried AOR 18th Sept. Raised CSE 5th of December. Was told that eligibility met as at 6th Nov. but background check not started. Getting tired.

No, I am not. I was trying to draw some pattern here. The Sep PPR today or yesterday was for someone who needed biometrics. Then you mentioned that your file was approved per your discussion on the phone and was wondering it was because you had to give biometrics. But you are not; which makes my "pattern theory" void; which is good for me . I'm so tired of waiting. After trying a few countries; I am truly hoping Canada will be "it" for me. Though my AOR is only in Sep; my actual wait for this "liberation" started in 2008. Anyway It's a long story and not very relevant to anyone here. But I want this PPR so bad

Ghost update: Dec 3rd 2018.

Just called CIC and the response was: File was approved, but email is still pending. If there is no communication by March 5th, call again and they will act on that. CIO Sydney.

Please, does this suggest that ghost update after Ip2 is a sign of an approval?

I think that could be the case. The agent told me that file was approved on Dec 3rd.

I had the ghost update when I logged in last night. My application status was profile updated, but when I logged back in it changed to submitted.

Ghost update Dec 10

Contacted CIC Dec 11- eligibility passed, criminal record check passed, working on security check

Do you guys have any idea how long the security check will last? So anxious to receive the golden email

Does your portal reflect the same i.e eligibility passed? I meant to ask if portal gets updated as the application progresses or we need to speak an agent ?
