I got the invitation email to sponsor my parents in August. The application package I sent to the Ottawa office was received on September 24 according to the Post Canada online tracker.

But my application status still can’t be found on the Ecas website. Should I be worried?

I had mine delivered on Sep 10th but no communication so far....can't find on eCAS too

Can you please let me know if it is a hard requirement to do a police clearance? I heard that sometimes they let it pass which i dont believe. I have an appt. tomorrow for Police clearance but you guys suggest that sometimes they let it go, then i will wait until i receive the request.

I don't understand your question. If you have an appointment to get the clearance tomorrow, then just get it.
They some times will let it "go" because some countries won't provide those information to people who do not live there any more or was there too long ago.
And applicants will need to show that they try hard to obtain it but failed.

hi, it looks like you're from Phils too. I assumed that you sent the passport in MANILA. did you make an appointment to submit the passport.
or you just drop it off personally in their office? Because it wasn't said in the letter when can we submit the passport.

Hi sorry for the late response. It was my brother who assisted my mom in manila as i am currently here in canada. You will have to make an appointment i believe and you should be in the visa office personally then they just received the pp after about a week in the mail.

Is there an Online Application Form that needs to be filled in to sponsor parents before a certain deadline? Jan 1st or Feb 1st? What kind of information is asked in that form and will they ask income for 2018? If selected how much time is given to submit paperwork?

they just ask for basic info at first then when you get chosen they give you some time like 60 days to submit, its all different this year tho

Can anyone help me understand at one point we are at in our process? My older brother is sponsoring my mother & I.

We got our AOR in august and our application was sent to our local VO (Beirut), October 25 we were asked to send in police clearance for all the countries my mother and I have lived in which included Denmark & the USA for my mother and Lebanon for the both of us, they also asked for individual civil extracts.

The documents reached the VO last monday and TODAY we got an email containing medical test forums and another forum called IMM5801 which I believe is the pre arrival letter?

Does this mean that the police clearance that we sent were approved? Is the back ground clearance done?

The IMM5801 emailed seemed odd as I thought we recieve it after the interview or later on.

Can anyone clarify?

police clearance and medical are two different things. They may vet these two things in parallel.

hello im just wondering regarding the LICO i have 2 kids and we are 4 then i have mother and father so the total of family size is 6? and im wondering on the cic site says need to add 30% from the guide there (table) because this is our income
2014 84.905 only me and my husband no baby yet
2015 111.238 with baby
2016 95,297
2017 88.289 and with baby no 2

from the lico say there it should be 73-75k per yr but i think we are not qualified because if they add 30% more and the 2014 and 2017 i dont meet the requirements? or its already included from the table lico? please advice thank you guys in advance im doing this in preparation for 2019 sponsorship im hoping and praying i meet he lico

There is no information on how to apply yet but likely there will be an application if you are interested in applying at the beginning of the year. Those selected will likely have to send their applications by the end of April or May. Just a guess but the procedure should be published sometime in December.
