Yes I am waiting since 16th Oct Ip2 and 18th ghost update. Many members in forum are waiting too for PPR email.

Absolutely agree with this... Its suggested that you always do the visit personally and read through the lease agreement thoroughly... Also I might suggest that you take a place on short term lease say 6 months to begin with so that you can access if that would be appropriate for you or would you want to move to another place and it would give you adequate time also.

Thanks. I dont have Master 18 any where. My note is from Program Assistant and its all positive with R10OK and Recommendation Pass. Note 2 is PReVU Verified (Applicant information). Security: Not started, Criminality and medical: Passed. I am AOR-18 Aug.

Everything looks pretty good for you so just relax many June people are at the stage that you are in currently... In short you are 2 months ahead. Hopefully you would have it max by Jan 19...

It is under Association, Organization and Entities section. it should be "PReVU Master 2018".

I think your eligibility assessments were not done at the time of the note request. You should order another set at the end of this month, you will see eligibility assessment notes from Case Analyst. As of now it seems good to me. What is your Primary Office? If not Ottawa and specially Montreal or Sydney then your application may get delayed until 6th month from AoR.

I know this is a discussion of a few days after but where do you suggest I should Start? I mean even to start with a job search, I need to be around a good cluster of companies, correct?

I am a Marketing Manager with about 8 years of experience in the field. I would prefer IT sector but then I am open to any sector or level. I was also contemplating professing but I heard, it is licensed.

Can you guide?

You mean to say we have to rent for at least one year? We as a new comer how the landlord will be satisfied that we can pay the rent on time? I mean we won't even have job at first. Also before having a job how a newcomer can take a lease for one year? What if I have to move another city for job?

I agree that short lease is difficult but a friend of mine moved in July and he did get that... There is no problem in trying is what I meant. Depending on personal preferences it can be useful.

I don't know why I get my hopes up every time a system maintenance alert comes up on the site - but I just do All my fellow Oct24-26 IP2 folks, hope my gut feel about the system maintenance being a positive development works for at least some of us @Afaz77 @Sreecan @lavanya31 @B. My friend who moved just two months back was asked to show offer letter from employer by almost every landlord. He did have a job so it wasn’t an issue. However, there are many who don’t have jobs. From what I have seen on forums here people either show bank statements to prove they have more than one year of rent available in the bank or some end up paying more deposit I.e. 3/4 months of rent. But I have also read that it is illegal at least in Ontario for landlord to ask that much deposit. People do say rents are highly regulated in Ontario (not sure if true as rents seem to be going high) and interests of both tenants and landlords are protected by rules and law. Also, real estate agents need to have license to become one and I think they need to clear some tests before they can become one. Also, tenants do not pay any brokerage. It’s paid by the landlord and hence landlords also prefer a longer term tenant.
Also you can book an Airbnb for starting one month.
