Hi guys,
I just got a phone call from a friend of mine. He is terrified. He got the golden email about 2 weeks ago and submitted his passport and photos to VFS yestersay. However, he just realized that the photos are 7 months old (not 6 months as per CIC requirements). He was in a hurry and instead of clicking new pictures he just asked the guy at the studio to re-print the same photos he had in his database (taken 7 months ago at the same studio when he applied for the provincial nomination. He also used the same photos for PR application).
After the guy at the studio re-printed the photos, he stamped the back with the re-printing date and studio contact details.
Your urgent advice is highly appreciated. The package (photos +passport) is already at the VFS.

I have received AOR on June 7th.. Pls add me in the wtsapp group. My contact no. 919592909966. Got an update about background check on 20th October but nothing further till now. Any help will be appreciated.
@cansha you know,I was being sarcastic while saying that ordering GCMS notes helps expedite the application.
Also, the example I shared, I didn’t mention that it was because of GCMS that he got PPR but to contest that ordering GCMS didn’t delay his PPR.
I am of the belief that GCMS notes help candidate know the exact status of their application and sometimes help with takibg proactive measures to avoid refusal. It’s everyone’s right and people should not hesitate in ordering.
Been watching this forum since Jan this year.. and I think its good to order notes if you are not confident of your documentation.. and in general if there is no movement at around 4 months mark.. plus its more about personal priorities as well.. some people may afford to have a bit of delay for their profiles.. like we june folks.. even if we get PPR by december, I dont think it will be a good idea to move by Jan/Feb.. people might move in around march or April so its fine if there is a bit of delay.. obviously, it kills to see you log in to CIC site and there is no movement for 3-4 months.. but, then this is just my perspective.. I am here waiting for almost 5 months.. and my friend got his in 25 days.. just last week he got his first job in Canada..
Thanks. He is just afraid of being accused of fraud and losing his COPR.
Plus, he thinks that by the time they get back to him and ask for new photos, his PPR letter expires, as it is only valid for 30 days and the FVS is in another country.
I spoke with him after posting the question, he also mentioned that he made another mistake he wrote his name / DOB + studio stamp on the back of both photos instead of only one of them (as required by CIC). How bad is this?
I have a friend who got like 5-6... I think he was very lucky too since most ADR were because of his partner in law, in the end they couldn’t prove the relationship and IRCC denied the visa for his partner in law but he indeed received the PPR. That was back in 2016, they are now officially married, she applied again through family sponsorship and they are happily living together in Canada
Why so? Now you are scaring me. I am already worried for my passports as Its been more than 2 weeks and I have no clue where my passports are. I hope the guy at VFS knew his job well.
