Hello everyone. Is it possible that whilst waiting to get assessment from NNAS, if you get to canada as a PR, can you get a job meanwhile? Like working as a nurses aide or something.

Hello. Is there someone here who applied to CRNBC already? How long is the processing? And also is there someone here who is doing the NCAS already or who’ve done doing it?

In this situation I wouldn't bother submitting your paperwork to NNAS. It's a waste of money. You will have to start at the beginning and obtain a nursing degree from a Canadian university. Graduating that long ago, and never working as a nurse, you won't be considered by any licensing body.

Sure, if you take and pass the course to be a nurses aide. Likely though you'll get a job as a PSW (Personal Service Worker). PSW is a 20 week course usually.

Was just hoping they could send be to a bridging program instead of redoing the whole program

Hi. I'm new to the forum, excuse me if I'm going over old ground. I have tried to find answers within the thread.
I'm a UK trained mental health nurse with 12 months experience and looking to working in British Columbia. Should I start my NNAS application now? I'm aware it's a slow process so imagine I'll have the 2 years by the time it's completed. Or do they judge your experience from the date of actual application?
Many thanks.

Hi everyone!

I am currently on the process of registering with CNO. I hold a RN license from Illinois. I have recently received a letter fro CNO asking for the date when I passed my NCLEX. Illinois Board of Nursing had already sent them my verification of registration. However, this doesn't suffice what their asking. I even wrote IL BON to send them a copy of my registration but the latter just sent my verification of registration instead. I've tried contacting BON to ask how to go about this and they said they only provide the verification of my license and the date it was issued, not the date I passed NCLEX RN. I am baffled and clueless on where to get the information. Pearsonvue doesn't provide it either. Any advice regarding this or has anyone on the same boat as mine? Thank you!!!

Update. Applied to NNAS they received all documents by May 2018. Application was under final review for about a month or so. I inquire about my status last week and they told me its under QA for quality check and should have report by this week. To my surprise, my status has changed to waiting for additional documents at this last stage. Apparently they are saying some details were missed by my nurse registration license office which we do not have control over as we send form to them and they fill it up themselves and send it to NNAS directly.

My frustration is if something was missing why they didn't clear that in last 4 months time. Its back to initial stages again and will go through review - final review and all that crap. Such a waste of time and no clear visibility. I am not sure what to do..
Is there a way i can send complaint to anyone?
