Of course most of us know that there is no IP1/ IP2. That's what has been given to the wording for BGC in our account. If CIC changes the wording there will be some other differentiators for us to categorize our application. This is more of a hobby for us that are waiting on a decision on our applications to make the waiting period more "tolerable". If you know any better way, we are all ears.
Saying that, we got together here to help each other morally and to share helpful information. So, please do not hurt people with your "nice" words.
I am merely trying to help, which I have been doing over the last 2 years through providing as much correct and accurate information as possible based on law (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act), and not adding more mystery to the process by throwing in more acronyms.
If you follow the process and track your application based on how it is legally processed, you will not have to wonder why someone else's application went from IP to PPR, while you are still waiting.
If you are so hurt by my 'Nice words,' you can just ignore and move on.

Words choices matter, my friend.
I am not offended by your post but someone may back up from asking questions here knowing that another person might be a bit bold on response. That was my only point.
And thanks for your help by hanging in this forum.
Cheers
So had a word with CIC agent yesterday and she told that my Visa Office is "Ottawa" and eligibility requirements are "Passed", but not finalised by Visa Officer. Also she also told after Eligibility requirements are finalised, then Background check will start.
How much time will Eligibility requirements take to be finalised? And have they approved my reference letters by now ?

Hi all, I received AoR on the 20th of July and passed medicals on the 10th of August. My background check still hasn't started so I'm following for updates here. Anyone who passed their medicals around the 10th of August please post updates on background check.

My AOR was July 29 too, got MEP yesterday 23 days later when I log in to check in the morning.
In the evening I got an email saying there was an update. When I logged in, status was "Submitted" and nothing changed in the full application status. Not sure if the email was regarding the MEP from earlier or if it means something else...
