It is better to fill them online and signed by hand.

I received my invitation to apply yesterday. As I am filling up the forms, I have noticed we don't know exact birth date of my grandma and grandpa. I am applying to sponsor my parents but in two of the forms, it asked for birth date of my parents' parents (principle applicant's parents). Is it acceptable to just write the year they were born? Grandparents are both deceased.

Do you think CIC is done sending emails to sponsors? I lost my confirmation number and I never received the email yet. I guess I’ll just have to drop it
I think my parents are not invited. I have not told them yet that they are not selected in the first round and now they are still not selected. I am just a little sad and frustrated at the same time

Does anyone here have their confirmation listed in the website but have not received an email yet?

I believe they send a letter during the 5-7 days.

no rule to type it online /just more comfortable/ ,specially who can't type on native language /Form IMM5406/

hello everyone, I just received an email from IRCC for my parents sponsorship. Just wondering is there a way where I can see my previous application that I sent for lottery? also, is there a whatsapp group that I can join for help with the documentation

I'm not sure if there is any way to check what info you provided while applying for lottery but it was very basic information so you should have that information like Mother father name, dob etc.
There is a link in this thread about the whatsapp group but i personally just use this thread.

1. My parents are in India and they don't have visitor visa. Can they apply for visitor visa if they are applying for PR?
2. How long does it take to receive PR after sending the application? They had plans to visit us in November.

Please be aware that all the advise on this forum is only best to the knowledge of the forum members, no one is expert.
Just to make sure always call the IRCCC call center and find info from there.

To answer your question;
1. There are few members here on this forum who's parents are already here on tourist visa so I don't think so that will create any problem.
But you need to know what you have to update their information like address etc. in the file once they are here.
2. This year the processing is fast but on the safer side say 1.5- 2 year after applying.

I received the invitation letter in the first round and I applied for my mom's visitor visa after that. She received her visa without issues.

I just received an email with the instructions for medical test and police clearance also resubmit imm 5562 and resume for my parents. In the medical form,the sponsor’s Canada address is given even though the parents’ live in India. It has to be submitted by Sep 2. Need I call IRCC and change the address ? Will the Canadian address be a problem when they go to see the doctor in India?

Can you please help with some guidance on how to track the status online. My file was received on 17th May as well and I have been unable to track the file status online. Can you please assist and confirm if Im doing it right.
1. I go to https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do
2. Select Receipt Number under Identification Type
3. Type my Parents family name ( My last name and Parents last name is spelled differently in our docs, Already attached an affidavit to support that its one name spelled differently)
4. Enter my Mother's ( Primary Applicant ) DOB and Place of Birth.

It does not pull up the information, I tried using my DOB and Place of Birth but that doesnot help either.

I am exactly in the same situation. Used Canada address and parents are in India.
If anybody has gone through this, please share.
Another point:
How do we give all the documents? thru email reply or to any address? Seniors please help.
They give us 1 month timeline, how do we extend the timing if required.
