TO my knowledge, You can use either of the options. The local police station provides Police verification certificate and Passport office provides police clearance certificate. Just the name differs. I submitted clearance certificate from local police station signed by SP , during my immigration. But for my parents I will use Passport office option.
Thanks for your response, I am also thinking of going via Passport Office route, but if passport office doesn't have Police verification on file ( as per my understanding if the current address is different than the address on the Passport ) then they send request to Local Police station and upon Police verification completion they provide PCC.
@jbhkaur don't worry , just contact the Panel Physician where your parents got Initial Medical tests done, That clinic will have all the instructions regarding further medical tests. They will provide you sealed envelopes with further medical instructions and guide you to see a specialist/ Diagnostic facility . I am in the same boat as one of my parent had to undergo further medical tests and see a Specialist.
IME request - 04 May
Medical Done - 11th May
Doctor's office submitted results to CIC between 23 - 25 May.
Medical Furtherance request e-mail from Regional Medical Office @ Delhi ( LVO is Ottawa ) - 29th May ( Doctors office contacted us on 28th to come for further office) so doctors office knows in advance if any additional tests are required.
Additional Tests done - 31st May
Awaiting test results .
i am in first round 2017 applicant, i haven't received any request for IME/PCC/arrival letter yet. Looks like everybody is getting something except me . Should i be worried now or call cic or just wait?

For medical furtherance letter that we got, do you think before going back to CIC panel doctor, is it a good idea to get x-ray and tests done again and going to family doctor first to make sure everything looks good in test make sense?

best thing you can do is to contact your panel physician and ask them what more test you need to do and then get those teat done before checked by your family doctors before you for actual test!!!!!
My parents sponsorship application status changed to decision made and pr application status is still in process. no Medical request so far, on May 17th it went in process and changed decision made think on June 1st. Our rep haven't got any letter yet. So worried. wondering if anyone is in same situation or know what does this mean ? Thanks for all help in advance.
I am in the same situation as you but I've read on here that some got their official Sponsorship Approval letter about a couple of weeks after ECAS showed "Decision Made". I guess I'll have to wait a bit more. I am hoping for a positive response because some applicants that has been disapproved showed "Decision Made" on both sponsorship side and permanent residence side. Good luck to us!
FYI:
"
To those who cannot link their application to their account in CIC.
I just called the CIC while having my application open on the screen. While talking to them I asked to lead me through the answers. And it appeared, that the spelling of the city of birth is different on the file, not the same as on the forms that we submitted with the application. Why is it different? I have no idea.... The guy on the phone said that wrong spelling of the city of birth and wrong number of people on file (the last question on the form) are the most common issues.
In my case, number of ppl on file is 4 (apparently adults only: my husband and I + my parents). And after the guy gave me the correct spelling of the city of birth I finally could link my application."
I have the same message as well and I assume the action is for you to review ?
However since this is my first access as well I cant tell you if this is common and I do hope someone experienced can give us some advice.
Also, do you have official SA yet and when did you receive AOR ?
Thank you so much for the INFO, I just linked my parents application to my account and it shows:
Review of medical results: you passed the medical exam
Review of additional documents: the additional documents you provided are being reviewed
Interview: you do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: we do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check
Final decision: your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
