Any idea what happens on ECAS when there are two unrelated applications in progress simultaneously ? Example: Canadian Citizenship and Parent's Sponsorship
Hi @razerblade. I see both, although mine is Citizenship app and a spousal sponsorship (2 sections for this - sponsorship status and principal applicant(spouse) status). Hope this helps.

You will get a communication from IRCC to submit the Use of Representative form, I would say wait for the AOR, once you have the application number, provide IRCC the Use of Representative form. Also, make sure you keep an eye on the email ID which was provided on the application, IRCC will send communications via email.
Hi gst8486 thanks a lot for being so helpful for all the advices. I have a question I just recently send the application of my parents and today got an email for my parents tourist visa. They are coming this July or August do I need to update CIC about their visit thanks
ya I included 2018 as I've been working for the same company since years ago. i think his question was if he should start it with January 2015 or April/May 2015 since we're submitting the application this month.
Hi everybody, just received the friendly reminder email this morning, just wondering if everybody receiving this email, ? They received my application package April 30, 2018,

I think all sponsors are receiving that email, regardless if the application has been sent or not. I received that email yesterday, though I am surprised that IRCC is sending reminders, that's something new to me.

Also keep in mind that the border services will have the info that they have PR sponsorship in process, hence some extra questions might be asked pertaining to that. If asked if they have PGP application in progress, they should answer yes
Hello Everyone,
Another last stage quick question:
My parents sent me the signed files without validating and I was thinking I can use signed page from their file and rest of the pages I can print here but i have few concerns:
1. The page size they sent is different than regular, i believe they sent A4 ( 11.5 * 8.5) and we have paper size letter (11 * 8.5), so if I'm using one of the signed page from their file then it looks odd.
2. Since they printed the file without validating so forms like IMM 1344 is 7 pages for them and after validating its 8 pages so for me signed page header will say Page 7 of 8 and they signed page they sent me says Page 7 of 7 .
Please advise what should I do :
Option 1: use the signed page from them and print rest of the pages after validating even the signed page is of different size? and header says Page 7 of 7 ( I can use the whitener to change it to Page 7 of 8?)
Option 2: Go ahead with using the file sent by them even if it is not validated ?
Unfortunately There is no work around it!. I am not trying to make your life hard, but that form requires validation for sure. Without validation IRCC will send the whole application back. Your best bet is to email the form to your Parents, after that call them and guide them i.e. download, save, validate, save, print, sign.
Its not worth to put application in risk for one form, also if you email them the form today, they can print it after validation and courier it to you with a 5 day service. You will get the form by May 15 next week, after that you will have 10 days to submit the file. Use the Canada Post's next day delivery option called 'Priority'.
Mailed my application today. Forgot to write the names in Native Language on Form IMM 5406 - Additional Family Information. Will this be returned as Incomplete? or Will I be asked to resubmit the Form? Thanks.
There is a strong chance it will be returned to you, and you would have to write the names in native language and send the form/ application package back to them. But you won't loose your spot, only thing is that your application process will be delayed just a little bit, also it will depend on how fast you get back to them.
Does she plan to continue to stay in Canada? If so, wouldn't she need insurance anyway. Insurance is better than paying hospital bills in case anything happen.
How long she can stay is determined by the CBSA officer when she re-entered Canada.
If she planned to stay, she will need health insurance when she comes back. Otherwise, do you prepare to pay for any of her medical expenses out-of-your-pocket?

I wouldn't recommend sending the application without validating or using different singed page. Everytime you click on validate, a new unique number is generated on all pages of application. If you attach the signed page from them and rest of the pages from a different validation you'll have a mismatch.
