im afraid not everyone is pretty case specific and depends on the officer you get. They are supposed to wrap things up inside of 12 months but you might be done in 8 or you might be done in 13 after the medical its a guesstimate game unfortunately
might be worth giving the CIC line a call and finding out where you are in case they have sent you something and its either going to the wrong place or it got stuck in a glitch somewhere.

I have been calling almost every week. Last time I called they said my background was finished and they had all documents they needed from us.. That we should be a little more patient and wait. Nobody tells me why is taking so long...
Sharing the pain. Hopefully it'll all just go to approved without the eligibility changing. As much as I'm happy to see things moving for people from Jul/Aug/Sep/Oct, I can't help but feel that it seems unfair.
From what I recall, July 2017 is when they updated a lot of the forms? I agree it does seem unfair as surely things should go in order, but think of the people who applied before the big changes in December 2016, think some of those are still waiting!

A lot of the forms changed in June, I recall very well because I am a chronic procrastinator and had filled them in March/April and had to start from scratch with a lot of them (as if it was not complicated enough). So I think my package was somewhat updated

Definitely, that's on a whole other level of unfairness

Totally agree, definitely happy for those people but it’s driving me crazy checking my ecas when I see people in October going into process. My IEC visa expires October and was hoping I’d have PR by then but now I’m getting worried that June’s gonna be stuck like some feb/March people unfortunately have been. Also planning on travelling for 4 months starting November but if there’s no PR card we need to push back our trip and we have nowhere to live after November 1st
Same with me, June 12th applicant. I hope they are processing our applications right now and we will get DM without any other changes in ECAS. I am trying to stay positive. I need to travel back home asap but can't even buy tickets yet, cause everything is so unclear.

Hey guys! Just landed here in Etobicoke office. Thank you all so much for your support throughout the whole process!
It was pretty straightforward. My interview was at 1, we arrived at 12:30 and we were out of there by 2. The guy was really nice and didn’t ask many questions. Asked for our passports and about our trip to Cuba. Also confirmed my first and last entrance to Canada. Then he asked my bf if he understands that he would be financially responsible for me for the next 36 months. Then he confirmed our address for pr card and that’s it. We signed the paper and then had to wait for another 30 mins to get my new sin number. The interview itself was about 10 minutes and nobody questioned anything. Just a friendly conversation.
I wish you all good luck in this process! Especially March applicants! I don’t know why it has been so long for most of us!
