A quick question for my parents sponsorship, my parents are in India and I am here in Canada sponsoring them. I was wondering if I can send all the documents to Ottawa office directly or it has to be my parents sending the courier from India to Ottawa. Is there anything mentioned anywhere that the package should be sent by the principal applicant and not the sponsor? Please let me know.
Just sent the application via Canada Post. Hope for best and fast re-union with parents.
Thank you to the people on this forum for help and support.
Also good luck for your applications.
Even if they are teachers in a Government Education institute, they will still be required to enter that info under the Government Job section of the form.
I have been selected to sponsor my parents. I am Canadian citizen sponsoring them. I filled out all the forms and meet all requirements. I had two questions:
1- My parents don't have their marriage certificate (married in 1953)-Is notarized affidavite ok to submit?
2- I am missing my birth certificate. Whats the alternate papers to prove my relationship to them? My passport and other cards have my fathers name. Or shall i get a notarized copy of my school leaving certificate which has both my parents name along with my date of birth.
My parents visited several times in Canada and were given visitors visa in past on the basis of my letter.
Would appreciate if someone can clarify the above for me. Thanks.
Hi guys,
While completing form IMM5699e for my moms sponsorship, I encountered a problem regarding my grandparents birth dates. My mom is not sure about my grandparents birth dates and both of them are deceased. If I leave it blank it doesn't allow me to validate or even filling with asteric sign creates the same problem.Any forum member who has experienced the same problem and can suggest any solution please respond. I appreciate all the help and support in this forum.
When my mom applied for her super visa in 2015 we included close enough guess regarding my grandparents D.O.B. dates but we cant recall the exact dates anymore.

I, too, only know the year of birth of my grandparents. I'm going to input Jan 1, <year of birth> on the form, and then attach a brief letter explaining it. I don't think it will be a problem.

Thanks for the quick reply razerblade but my only concern is that on her supervisa application we filled close guess dates. Will cic compare her supervisa dates to current dates .
