I don't know really as we are still going through the process, hoping my wife gets the med request soon as seems June/July applicants have been getting them over the last few days, so being August hopefully not much longer, but who knows they could just do June/July and put the requests on hold for a couple of months! Hope not though! Seems like some people in this thread recently are getting DM in around 10-11 months, (from app being recieved) whilst others are around 12-14 months, guess every case is different.

Hey guys!
Just wanted to let you all know that I got my SIN and health card done today.
My health card coverage will continue as it has been less than 90 days since my old ohip card expired. YAAY!
Today was the second day in a row I went to Service Canada. Yesterday the lady told me that my passport would not work as valid ID, and pretty much rejected me and told me to go get a driver's license or a health card before I go back there. Today I got a different lady, very nice, and I told what had happened yesterday and she spoke to another colleague and they agree that I was rejected incorrectly when my passport is valid. On the way out, the lady from yesterday was at the front helping people, I almost wanted to tell her she wasted my time, but I choose to give her weird looks instead while waiting for my ride.
I am glad this is almost over. I cant wait to go get my license and PR card.
I am May 2017 applicant, I sent upfront medical which would have expired In December 2017. Does anyone know if they will ask for new medical? Its going on 10 months now and I have not heard anything from cic since I sent police report in June. Anyone in this situation?

I have gained that experience too! Some employees in public services don't know how to work!!! They just gave us lots of non-sense information. When we asked for their explanation, they just could not answer!
lol....you have to. I always say that this whole sponsorship process requires a great deal of patience. If you don't have patience it will drive you crazy. I am not a very patient person, but after this I can say that I am 80% better.
