Hi!
When AVO request for additional documents, they don't stick to thirty days, from experience of others, they get back around 90 days.
Also, cos of the peculiarities of your application, they would want to give it more scrutiny.
You can apply for GCMS, it might allay your fears.
However, all would be well.
Ye that’s the same thing my lawyer told my wife and It’s been over 2months now but not yet 3 months I sent them the additional documents requested but silence is what I get from them.. My lawyer said he’s gonna send them an email after this week.
I'm so sorry about your case, I think they're still reviewing your files. What you should know is that delays are not denials, very soon your light will shine and you will smile. Just keep praying and leave the rest to God, He will surely make a way.

Contacted my MP last week. Didn't hear anything. Contacted them again today and was told that we are still in queue and that the MPs office is helping some clients that had applied in 2015. They have me a link to timelines. I wrote back and reminded them of the 12 month commitment from IRCC and that we are 2 1/2 weeks from that.
Hopefully will get our notes early next week. Hope that tells is something .

This is subjective, and up to you, however, if no change, you need to write a letter to them, explaining no change.
If your application was linked, you would see, there's a column for the form, so I would advise you fill it, it's only a page.
Knowing AVO with their attitude, I strongly advise you fill it, leaving no room for excuses.
However, the decision lies with you.
