Excuse me. Can anyone help me understand what is DM and PPR ? Thanks
Hi all,
Right now,I live in Quebec. I have my csq, open work permit (expiring on may 2018)and my AOR for permananet residency via the quec selcted skilled workers route and i passed the medicals .
- Am i allowed to apply for express entry at this stage(i have at around 470 points)?
- Is it a good idea to do so(choosing express entry at this stage)?
- My employer is ready to help me with the bridge permit (my only concern is that it is a closed permit)? What happens , if i get a closed permit and they lay me off from my job.?
Thanks
@andy000 for the reply and to be more specific and explain my situation,i posted the above .
I know nothing about Express Entry, but if you get a closed work permit and you get laid off, you will be able to stay in Canada legally and look for another job. Just don't leave the country at that point, because if you don't have the job that goes with the work permit anymore, they may refuse re-entry on that work permit.
Excuse me. Can anyone help me understand what is DM and PPR ? Thanks
Hi,
DM is decision made
PPR is the confirmation email when Decision has been made for PR (permanent residency)

Can someone help me with this...
Anybody knows if Lacolle immigration office is open 24h?
I'm planning to go there tomorrow and trying to figure out the best time. I will be with 2 kids.
Thanks!
Congrats. What was ur timeline?
I submitted my document for the federal stage on November 20th, 2016, so it takes me around 1 year and 4 months to complete the whole process. Also I had my medical done this September.

Hi all, does IRCC asks for updated police certificate from my home country, I submitted the first one with my application and it will pass one year this month knowing that I am inland applicant and I did not leave Canada since I submitted the first one, thanks all
Hello, I think my timeline is a bit different because I’m out of status. So here is my timeline so far:
Application sent on March 10th 2017
Received in March 15 2017
Started processing March 28 2017
Request for Schedule A and police: April 4th and received on April 30th
Medical sent with the app (aproved on October)
CSQ request March 5th 2018
Does somebody knows what comes after that? This is a nightmare and sometimes it feels like it is never gonna end!
Hi
Could anyone please provide me the details on how to get an appointment with an Immigration officer in Montreal to complete landing process. I am an inland applicant and received CoPR. The toll-free number I got (1888 242 2100) has no option for this on the IVR and not going through to any agent.
I will post the question again, are the inland applicants required to provide updated police certificate from their home country if the first one passed one year ?
