The published time by CIC is 6 monthhs.
Generally FSW applicants get it in less than two months and PNP applicants may take a little more time but off late even they have received in two months

Hello Friends,

I have a question on the Police Clearance Certificate. My current country of residence is USA and I obtained FBI PCC in September last year and its 6 months validity will expire next week i.e. March 13th. If I get my ITA tomorrow and get the medical done by March 20th, can i submit my application for PR with this PCC or do i need to get a new one. The only problem is the time it takes to obtain FBI PCC, it took 3 months to get one last time.

Please respond based on your experience and knowledge of the process.

The FBI has a new system now, see option 1 in their website: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

This option takes only a few days max. I would definitely get a new PCC.

Submitting OINP today if the cut off does not come down to 440. I don't think it would make any sense to keep waiting for CRS to come down. Moreover, I feel OINP or any other PNP will only speed up the process as they check your profile for FSW or CEC also. My CRS is 438 and got NOI on 9 Feb. Suggest everyone to not take chances and go ahead with all the possible PNPs. There is nothing wrong with paying 1500 CAD if it guarantees you ITA.

Hi chirag, i want to ask one thing. I also got invite from oinp on 9th feb. Waiting for 7th and 21st march draw. My crs is 439.
If i opt for oinp and submit my application. Then how much does it take to get nomination.???
Another point to ask : for example i submit my application on 22nd april. Then crs draw comes to 438 or below in very next draw i.e 4th april. Will i be eligible for direct ITA as i have submitted application for oinp before.????

If it happens today (Mar 7) with:
3000 ITAs - CRS 440
3250 ITAs - CRS 440
3500 ITAs - CRS 439

The variance in the above calculation is +/- 2 CRS.

440 with tie breaker before Nov 15 is a high possibility.
If it is 441, then tie breaker would be Feb/Mar.
