It is true, but not for the underlying reasons that they all believe. It's not because they are Iranian, it is because the Iranian government takes its own sweet time answering the requests generated by CSIS. This is also true of those in other middle eastern countries as well as African and South American countries. If you read the boards of those waiting for their PR, you will find some stuck in background checks from Russia and Kazakhstan as well.
CSIS and ICC are not looking at your place of birth or your passport and trying to find ways to 'delay' you, however your native country has ways of delaying all of it on your behalf by not answering requests in a timely manner ...
Nope! Nope! Nope! You are wrong! Especially in regards to Iran. Iranian government by far has one of the fastest security clearance procedures in the region if not in the world. You can get your police clearance in less than a week! Even doing a simple finger print in Canada can not top that! Also I know for a fact that Iranians go through deeper layers of security checks than any other nations.
I agree with you that they don't deliberately delay your application, but trust you me, your nationality matters. Those unfortunates happen to fall under a certain category with more layers of investigation. Don't try to sugar quote it, it's just how it works. It's the reality.
He just wanted to throw something out there, how do you think he got his VIP status? No offence Alurra71 but sometimes having no comments is better than blabbering about!
Based on anecdotal evidence presented on this forum alone is enough to draw a conclusion that some countries answer background requests faster than others. It really depends on how good the relationship with the two governments are.
EXAMPLE: Take for instance N. Korea. How well do you suppose they answer requests for information about one of their citizens that managed to get out and migrated to the US?

Your conclusion has no basis what so ever. You are just swinging over a mythical skate rink you created in your head. Do you have any hard evidence of what you are grounding here? I don't want to think this and that. I need evidence.
My colleague (iranian) applied for citizenship on 29 Oct. I applied on 16th october. he already had his test on 08 feb. and i am still waiting for a test invite. so being an iranian has nothing to do with it.
Guys
Please do not fight with each other.
This is the fact that we all agree on and was concluded:
It normally takes more time for Iranians to pass the security checks.
In that case - here is my opinion. You should be okay to wait for AOR. Once you get AOR - you will know the application number and then you can send the corrected forms with an explanation on the missing trip quoting the application number.
The other option is send in a second application with a covering letter explaining the issue with your first application.

What pisses me off is that according to Alurra71 CIC is not to blame, and they are doing everything in their power to expedite every application possible! They are the best in the business! They work their asses off to get everything right! And countries in question are the ones which F up the procedure!!!
We all know for facts that it's CIC that F ups all the time every time (so many comments written all over the internet, I don't have to say this but the main reason that this forum exists, is for people to dump their views on how CIC works and ask questions only because the process is not transparent enough), on so many levels too; including their glorious customer service on the phone to their mistakes on applications from PR to Citizenship. Now if you go about and point the blame to other countries, I have to say you are one ignorant human being.
