You can apply for a permanent sin 24h after you land (copr signed by cic).
I just had a problem when mailing my passport to Ottawa, be very careful with Post Canada, they recently changed the Xpress envelopes but some of their mail sorting guys did not pay attention to the "From" and "To" locations since they have been switched on the newly designed envelopes. As a result, mine was returned to me after 4 days. I am now sending it again since Post Canada is the only option for Inland applicants.
So if you are sending it to the visa office soon, I advise you tell the post office and mention the seriousness of your documents.
What’s mean for due date ? In gcms nots

Hi All, I just noticed that in GCKEY account my status changed from submitted to Updated, what does it mean?
Ever since I linked my account my status showed 'action is required' tonight it changed to 'submitted'. I am still waiting for MR next Friday marks 14 months since submission of my application.

Hey man hang in there. I've been in the same situation and just recently got my MR. Don't know how long it's gonna take after that. Try GCMS notes if you want to know what's going on.
