My Background Check went from "Not Applicable" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." Does this mean BGIP?

How long does it take?

Is there anyone who applied around nov 2016 and got a medical request not upfront medical whose background check went in process in last few days got ppr already?
Looks like people who have done upfront medical got ppr within 2 days after Background check went in process wondering if its same for people who did medical after requst from cic

I heard this happened to an application submitted in June 2016. Wonder if this is part of the PPR sent out this week.

lots of Jan, Feb even Mar applicants got ppr. Hope we can get it soon!

This is my current status.
Dec 28th 2016 applicant.
AOR was March 7, 2017.
Am I in IP1 or IP2? Any ideas how long it will take from now? BG status changed from N/A to we are processing your background check on Feb 27 2018.

be really bad if this is the case I am Dec 2016 did my medical Jan 2016 and nothing best way is to call IRCC to confirm I guess

one of my friend who also applied in December 2016 with me, got the medical request on 5th Jan, meds passed on 10th Jan, he got the update of background checks in the morning yesterday 27 feb 2018 and Passport request in the evening. i am hoping to get mine anytime now.
