I'm a Nov 11/2017 Mississauga applicant. I paid the right fee.

Just a question about OWP status on CIC. How does your status change throughout the processing on CIC. Ours was submitted Jan 3rd, linked to CIC on Feb 9 after AOR. Status on CIC currently says "We are processing your application, we will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility". Just wondering what to look out for!

You most likely won't have any update until approval. For mine I only noticed in my GCKey that it read 'Updated' next to my OWP and then I saw that it was approved (this was nearly a day before I received the email of approval, and a week before the OWP arrived in the mail). Mine took 3 months from submission to approval. (Wrong fees paid)

We r June and the same thing . . Background is processing since Nov 2017

what requests have you received, what documents have you submitted yet?

i got request for police certificate and medical exam, but i did upfront medical exam. So i submitted my policy certificate and medical exam with my application on Dec 1st, 2016.

We are in the same boat. APP received Nov 03. So far, could not link the OWP and have no email for OWP neither. you could call CIC. At least you could know that your OWP application still there without return.

Question about the landing interview - is this something that all applicants must do when their case is finalized?

I was under the impression that inland applicants don't need to physically show up for an interview?

you have to show up regardless. although, ircc started doing landing interviews over the phone for some applicants.

I have a same timeline for OWP app received at Vegreville on Jan 9th 2018 and linked online on 12 feb . I see in background check changed from "Not Applicable" to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." . Is this normal !!!!

Thanks, do you know if it's just the applicant that must attend to Mississauga, or the applicant and sponsor? That way I can plan financially for the trip. Thanks!
